The Rebuild of Evangelion films have always been very popular. However, for its fourth and final film, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0, fans have waited a bit too long. This made fans a but frustrated, with many joking that the final film isn’t gonna happen. However, a special report stated that the film is indeed pushing through. They also revealed that it will be released in 2020.

The previous Rebuild of Evangelion film, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, premiered last November 2012. That’s almost eight years of waiting for many. However, creator and director Hideaki Anno suffered from severe depression and thus pushing back the final film. But don’t worry, it looks like he’s back!

Unfortunately, the staff did not reveal any further information regarding this release. But do expect them to reveal more details in the days to come.
