Like most anime and manga nowadays, f Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Rurouni Kenshin manga is also getting a stage play. Called 2.5D plays, these are live-action stage productions which are based on anime, manga, and games. And now, the staff finally reveals the cast in costume for a new visual for the play’s handbill.
The play will star Seina Sagiri as Kenshin Himura, Moka Kamishiraishi as Kaoru Kamiya, Mitsuru Matsuoka as Souzaburou Kanou, Yuusuke Hirose as Saitou Hajime, Ryosuke Miura as Aoshi Shinomori, and Ryuji Kamiyama as as Kanryuu Takeda.
The play will first have its run in Tokyo’s Shinbashi Enbujou theater from October 11 until November 7, 2018. It will then hit Osaka’s Shouchikuza theater from November 15 to 24. Shuuichirou Koike is directing the play, as well as writing the script.
This wasn’t the first Rurouni Kenshin stage play though, as the famous all-female musical theater troupe Takarazuka Revue also did one.
