The Doll Affair Presents . . .

STYLING CONTEST

Whether you are an aspiring doll fashion designer or stylist, this is the right platform for you to showcase your talent! Show us what you do best at The Doll Affair’s Styling Contest – whether you’re into sewing, painting faceups or creating unusual hairstyles for your dolls. The winner of the contest will be determined by a panel of judges and public voting. Unleash your creativity to the fullest, and who knows, a special prize may await you at the end. We look forward to seeing your entries!

The theme for this year’s Styling Contest is LIGHT. Be as creative as possible as the theme is open to a variety of interpretations!


HOW TO TAKE PART

1. Participants have to submit an entry form to thedollaffair@gmail.com with the following details:

2. A fully refundable deposit of $30 will be collected upon submission of entry form. The deposit will be forfeited if the entrant withdraws from the contest.

3. Participants have to submit all entry forms and deposits before 2359hrs, 20 December 2007.

4. Please be reminded that due to limited space, entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, and The Doll Affair will cap the number of entries.


RULES
  • Only one doll per entrant is allowed to enter the competition.
  • Styling of entry dolls must follow the set theme of the competition. Entries that significantly deviate from the set theme will not be allowed.
  • All entries must be original. Any entries found to be otherwise will be disqualified.
  • Entrants must report at 12pm on the event day to ensure sufficient time to prepare their dolls for the voting display. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and the entrant’s deposit will be forfeited.
  • Dolls may not be removed from the display table during the public voting period. Entrants will only be allowed to remove their dolls from the display table at the close of the event after the results are announced.
  • No changes or alterations will be allowed once entry doll is placed on the table for display.
  • Entrants are strongly encouraged to use a stand when displaying standing dolls to prevent any accidents.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Dolls entered in the contest must be consistent with the acknowledged style of Ball Jointed Dolls; dolls must be made of resin, articulated with ball-and-socket type joints, customisable and strung. Entry dolls may be of any size.
  • Fashion dolls such as Barbies, Licca/Jenny, Blythe/Pullip and figure kits are not allowed to enter the competition. Dolls found to be unsuitable may be disqualified at The Doll Affair’s discretion.
  • Entrants are reminded that The Doll Affair is a family event. All lewd, provocative or otherwise questionable entries to the competition will be disqualified. The Doll Affair retains the sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.
  • The Doll Affair is not responsible for any mishaps or damages that may happen to the competing dolls.
