someone needs to crank the gears of an unstoppable machine to make things happen. Although this penalty was legislated more than 10 years ago under the Copyright Act, it has yet to be fully enforced.
see, thats what I say liao, it takes someone to do something..... for 10 years, malaysia didnt even give a damn, then when Odex does the whole clamping down, malaysia see the effectiveness and now begin to dust off their law books and start enforcing....
And Besides, Malaysia is just next to singapore, surely they are also gonna follow the neighbour too, if my neighbour can do this, why can't I be better at it, to be better, lets increase our fine to RM250K!!! HOLYSHIT, indeed, if singapore can fine our people 5K, we can do even better!
250,000.00 MYR
= 108,114.40 SGD | Annoucing a crackdown is one thing, but doing it is another. Malaysia has said a lot about other stuff - bigger problems like graft and corruption - but how effective have they been in clampnig down those? Singapore is easier to control because of the size and the way it's pro-business.
