i was overwhelmed when i realised EOY was actually done up by a group of volunteers! it might be my first time attending this event but nevertheless, this is an experience i would never forget. Thank You!

In this case, then I'm very glad that I managed to get to Expo and catch the last hour of EOY 2008.

Many many thanks to all STAC members, past and present, as well as the old MAC committee. All the events, MAC or STAC organised, has given me a lot of good memories and I'll never forget my very first cosplay in 2001 at Suntec down to the first inaugural EOY in 2003.

Thank you for giving us the platform to cosplay as cosplay and not mixed with blatant commercialism as so many other events now are.

Ah Boy! Ah Mi is proud of you!!

Oh dear...
I resolved EOY would the the only anime+manga event I won't miss.

It was heartening to see a small 50 or so circle of anime fans gather for the first official MAC cosplay at Fengshan CC in 1999 grow to a few thousand strong event at Singapore Expo in 2008. Following which other related events also followed suit.

Like how I'd quote a friend of mine who had also followed the growth of MAC to STAC these 10 years "somehow EOY felt like homecoming to many of us". While most of us who are in the working society now are busy with work, we'd make time to attend EOY to catch up with old friends. It's sad to know that the club that accompanied me through my anime+manga times is ending
