UNCONFIRMED: Japanese magazine Arcadia reported that Namco is planning to release Soul Calibur 3 n arcade in Fall 2005. Similar to Tekken 5, Soul Calibur 3 will be compatible with ALL.NET, a high speed online battle network created by Sega Sammy and Namco using Optical Fiber technology. Namco has not make any officially announcements of this title.

Hmm.... people on the gamefaqs board are being skeptical about the Character creation mode (i.e. highlight of SC3). They did raise a few valid points, in that it's hard for a weapon-based game like SC to have much "Move Customizability", and if you give them a whole character's movelist, it's just that you're using a certain character but looking different. Indeed, after reading what they say (eventhough half of the people there are retards), I'm also harbouring the query on how Namco can pull off a 'true' character creation mode for SC3...

Imagine Talim with Xianghua's 22B, Talim's 33A, Mitsu's 2KB/kB2/b2 throw, Cervy's BT JF, Yoshi's 1A series... I think that's quite a bad idea if you look at it in SC2 terms, but then again, we have to play it in order to know what's in there, right? So keep forward to it guys!

Yea many ppl experienced that but its like many fighter series, its the human opponents that brings the game to the next level, try visiting Zone-X at Orchard the atrium(beside Plaza Singapura) and test ur skills there~ Im sure u find more fun than just 1 button smashing.

4A, 6B, 2A,WSA and throws are really very good. her 3B is a very good move.
farp plays her... understand how the SHS and LHS moves can be applied.... and Jump stance A/B/K give very different effects. with A being the closest and K the fastest. B has a aguard break.

her 4A has been massively toned down. it used to be safe + advantage on hit. now its just uber hard to see.

repel is 6 guard , parry is 4 guard . Repel is for highs and mid attacks while parry is for low and mid attacks. Press only either a or b to break a throw.
Sc3 is not likely to come to any arcade unless they take a ps2 and convert it into an arcade game like what the japanese people have done . If in doubt , hazzard is your man.

He is one of the craziest boss to fight . If you ring him out, he comes flying back . His combos are half bar and can ring you out from half the stage. If you can beat him, thats hell of a miricale. He is just nightmare with soul edge complete and transforms to night terror

Repel IS 6G and 3G
Parry is 4G and 1G

differences: Parry gives more advantage when it comes to frames. but, several High attacks would not hit, like throws and AA. some linear moves may be off axis. Repel gives lesser advantage but provides different options. IMO i mix them up to keep opponents guessing.

To kill night terror, select thief and whore out the bomb :D

Im a talim player and , yeah she has been weakened. but still playable. although not really for tournaments. TOurnaments, u need alot of safety, and a safe talim will become really monotonous and predictabe with the lack of block stuns and bloody unsafe lows and normal attacks. sticking with BB, 2A and a crappy AA alone will kill the talim. i jsut feel that she needs to take 10 times the risk from SCII with careful dispatch and Air saults.

Cassandra is a very solid character. overall, seems pretty much beefed up from SCII. still not as safe as sophitia, although the damage potential is VERY high. giving her a crouch throw is like. WA.

and all you guys, go learn step G and VC :D

3A, 11K, 2K are VERY punishable on block
1A>3A at close range. 1A is safer and more damaging

2_5B is less applicable. BUt your AA is 8 frames :D

I guess it's just luck as I lost more than I win usually in Soul Arena mode. Night Terror is really terrible. All these large moves like nobody's business and almost like no advantage even when I block or guard impact.

against all cahracters except X and kilik cervy can just run up to you 8A+K and knock you down. its a very fast UB... though it has crap range. good to set up from GI or post BS/HS.

faster 2A from SCII.... 2As in this game are something like jabs in tekken.
1A IMO is one of her most superior lows. its safe, does damage and is a massive +7 on hit. go for FC mixups straight away after it hits (FC3B, 2K, WSK, throw).
3A although nerfed is still useful...
11K is -2 on hit But it is TJ and TC....
her new commmand throw 214B+G 412B ROs to her RIGHT....
A+K is a great stance for mixups... and pressure. do not whore it against asta and rock though... you can get thrown...

X got nerfed in NTSC J version with the loss of 66A+B G...

Ring out is not as easy as it may seem..... i dont see why you all consider it broke. At ringedge, it provides more pressure for mixup. and at higher level its really hard to ringout. most of use get slaughtered midarena.

Ringout is not so easy as you think. I gather the Arcade version will more or less make some arena harder to ring out compare to the home version.

SCIII AI is alot harder now. even the best of players lose to it.

IMO Ringout is the same as consoles and 2s. But seriously, if you understand the mindgames and learn how to understand your environment(something quite important in the majority of fighting games), you would be the one doing ring outs. Frankly too, this game is more poke based and has potential to be flashier.
