HOLYSHIT!! there's a dead man lying on the ground and nobody cares??!!

the tittle says all that i'm gonna complaint about.
i can't believe that this is happening in singapore.. i mean.. i thought we're suppose to care for one another?? lend out a helping hand?? bullshits.
last night, while i was walking home..
i took the usual route whereby i have to cut through one of the block of flats before actually reaching mine, and when i was coming out from the voiddeck, i saw one man lying facedown on the floor!!
immediately i sensed that something is NOT right..
i was so SCARED that i didn't dare to took another second look at him..
i ran all the way home and told my sisters (who's still awake) about it.
and my elderest sister reaction was
"oh god, don't tell me that man fell from above..."
coz previously they've heard a loud "pop" sound...
but been living at this estake for almost THREE years, it's very common to hear loud "pop" sounds especially during wee hours due to some very unconsiderate malays who likes to burn their lighters at this timming.
my sister and i went down to have a second look..
we happened to see this uncle riding his bicycle very slowly out from that direction, looking at the man, then he saw us and cycled off!!! wtf
my sis went up to take a closer look and saw half of his head cracked off with part of the brains oozing out.. immediately, we called the police.
the ambulance came about 10mins later.. followed by a few police cars.. and soon it gathered a crowd which i also don't know come out from where to see the "show".
anyway, juding from the time that my sisters heard the sound till the moment i saw that man.. it's about 30minutes.
and for HALF AN HOUR, the man is DEAD down there and NOBODY cares???
how unlucky can i be?
reporters came this afternoon to take pictures of the crime scene..
maybe it'll be in the news tomorrow.
i'm not lying. for god sake. -

Complacency.
Singapore's something like Japan:
See something not right, pretend you didn't see it. And quickly walk off.
See a fight, first thing in the mind, RUN or pretend never see and slowly walk off.
Sometimes some things are better left ignored, but there's a certain limit to it.
As you've mentioned: Your complaint can be interpreted in two ways:
- The old uncle might also have thought that it would be unlucky hence pedalled off faster
- You are pushing the blame to others to be "unlucky" and in the end you decided to take the "blame". Afterall, you did go home first, which, in effect, is a way of leaving the body there like the old uncle cycling away.
The old uncle might have cycled to get a payphone to call the police, you never know. Just like how nobody will know you're running home to ask your siblings for help. -

yup, called police already.
the head is cracked.. smashed on the ground..
i dun think he fell from very high.. coz if so, he'll be shattered all over the place.
but the leg is very disturbing though..
bend in a very difficult position..

bend in a very difficult position.. One of the many wonders of the human skin:
It can withstand a considerable amount of stretch, ie. you might fall from 10 storeys and still be intact thanks to the elasticity of the skin.

er... where is it?
cus i saw a man on the ground days ago, behind a bus stop. everyone walked past him, including me, but i walked infront of the bus stop.
then again, my area there tend to have bangala workers sleeping everywhere, on the grass patch, void decks, benches... yea.
it was after 12am, i'm walking home alone after work, as usual.

lol
But at least they should have called the cops or something right?
I mean its stupid not to call for anything
but I understand the Singapore and Japan analogy
I got hit by a slow moving car before and actually sprained my ankle
Walked to a bus stop with a whole lot of people
Looked for a seat and this aunty was putting her bags all over the place you know for what?
Just cause she's alone and the bags were filled with small stuff like yakult and some fruits.
The bus was worse don't ask.
Don't you feel the attitude of singaporeans should change?

God, that must've been scary. But still. It's NIGHT, you see a person lying FACE DOWN on the ground, your first reaction must have been to run, right? Even I'd have done the same thing..........
You never know if it was something you 'saw'... >.<
