If thats the case im guessing they got their goods from an supplier in the southeast asia region. Which would probably mean they are as clueless about the bootlegged item as Blurmage here is =p.

Every1 need to earn their keep , including PITB's staff and boss ... Not many business know 100% of wat they are selling , but they still do a roaring trade ...

IIRC , h gets his costume stocks from China XD But they really did a good job ... 3/4 of baka ninja costumes came from there ...

Let me see how to make sense of this.

An importer sold a fake figurine in a prestigious convention held in Suntec City alongside legitimate shops to a customer. The people here are not condoning the fact that the importer did not check if they sold counterfeit goods, but it is the buyer's fault for purchasing a fake figurine without any knowledge?

I am not sure if the boards of this forum condones bootlegs, but it sounds like no one thinks that the distributor should take any responsibility in SELLING fake figurines in the first place. What kind of Logic is this? I am surprised at the ability of ridiculous behavior of some forum users here.

Sure, the TS might be doing the wrong thing by calling CASE in for this thing, but in no way should the importer/distributor/seller be removed of any blame. They should never allow it to appear on the market, especially in a prominent convention that is aiming to be the top anime convention in Singapore. That's wrong, and should be the main key point here.

Pointing out that the TS is stupid is useless, and only aims to boost your own e-ego. Good luck if you need such futile attempts to make yourself feel better.

the box it self look damn fake and the figurine colour is different from the print on the box[if iam not wrong]. LOLS.

Some of the replies in this thread really makes my eye bleed. Well I really have a good laugh off those replies, really shows how come more and more foreign talents are holding all the high post in Singapore.

By all means, continue to support bootleg, your free anime, psp game whatever I don't care. It's only $30 that's ripped off from me.

Like what Impz had said, a convention selling bootlegs to customer is wrong. Doesn't matter if the customer check it or not. What if I am a tourist and I gotten a bootleg without knowing, how does it reflect on Singapore?

It doesn't matter whether they are selling a $1 bootleg or a $10000 bootleg item, it's the action that counts.

And just to confirm. I am not saying the shop is removed of any blame. I just feel that its wrong to suddenly "defame" the shop by somehow saying that the way they do business is wrong. I just felt that they should be given at least a chance to know on this mistake rather than the customer, complaining about the way they are doing the business. Well, both sides doesn't know each other so.. TS, would you kindly close the thread now? I am sure the shop will know about this and take the matter into their hands.
