| Senior Member | Foundation - Suggest you use a BB cream instead. I find it doesn't melt even after I sweat so much. http://www.makeupforlife.net/2007/12/bb-cream.html Most affordable would be Scandal BB cream from Sasa but the color's a bit dark for me. Base - I only apply SPF 50 sunkiller sun screen which can act as a base, so can't advise much on this. Concealer - This is tricky, you need to personally test out different brands to see which color suits you. Liquid concealer for mild dark eye circles and cream concealer for super dark eye circles. Another tip I wanna give: Don't retouch your powder mid-day lah! It's unhygienic and bad for your skin. You'll only introduce more bacteria into your make up sponge and that increases the probability of pimples and yucky shit on your skin.

thanks for this really useful thread! i would like to ask if anyone has good moisturizers to recommend/tips to give. because now in poly i have to stay in air-conditioned places/rooms alot, and i realise the skin on my hands and face is starting to peel. has it got to do with the air-conditioning? thanks in advance! |

base - biore UV face milk (spf 50!) can be used as base before makeup. concealer - body shop brand. air-conditioned places will tend to dry up the skin esp on face and skin, as it is exposed to the air. according to ur condition, it seems that u have dry skin. condition of the skin peeling depends on individual skin type, oily, sensitive etc. u can buy a hand moisturiser and use it when there is a need. i personally use NIVEA HAND age defying Q10 plus moisturiser, and it is quite good, and cheap. |

| Senior Member | hmm.. 1. Base acts like a primer : L'oreal UV Day Cream *UV causes uneven skin tone - I soo regretted not using it when I was in UK. The sun literally killed my skin and gave me uneven skin tone that's incurable... 2. Concealer : Body Shop Stick Concealer <--for under eyes only, too dry sometimes + L'oreal Super Blendable Liquid Concealer <-- good replacement for lip concealer if you don't have any 3.Foundation : I don't use any... *Biotherm's base/foundation/powders are the best I used so far... One layer and it looks so even and anime-like! 4. Base Powder : Organic Powder from Korea *I can't remember the brand 5. Highlighting/Nuance Powder : DAISO's "Nose Shadow" Powder, White section. <-- I use TONS of these. For special occasions, M.A.C's Select Sheer PRESSED NC5 White + M.A.C Eyecolor Frosty White. 6. Nude Lips : M.A.C Fleshpot + Latest COLOR CRAFT series Marbleized LipGlass *I tend to "eat" my lipstick..so I seldom use this unless I'm heading for a nude lip Gyaru look A tip : Don't use Sponges/Puffs to apply Face Powders Always use a Face Brush to ensure the makeup does not turn out CAKEY or too thick.. Slowly apply layer by layer to preferred level of tone. Use Puff only with Finishing Powders to puff through and brush out harsh lines as the final touch to your makeup.
