I have this 'marker eyeliner' which really easy to handle. They sell it in sasa however I forgot the brand already. It's white colour and have a black strip. Really easy to use for beginner. Believe me, i'm nuts about make up.

Jus to share some of my make up tips... The Correct way of using: 1) Lip liner: most ppl use d lip liner to draw d outline of the lip well which is theoretically correct but practically it is suppose to color ur whole lip. it is very obvious if u r wearing d bright red color n after u eat ur lipstick will b gone wats left is ur lip liner, i'm sure u dun wan to b seen wearing an "outlined" lip after u eat/drink. 2) Eyelashes curler: again most ppl use it by pressing it for a few sec n let it go. d correct way is actually start pressing from d most inner part of d lashes then slowly moved outward. so d effect will turn out to b perfect smooth up curl not a 90 deg angle curl. 3)4 step for perfect base: Make up base> liq foundation> concealer> loose powder 4)something abt 2 way cake: hope everyone noes tat 2 way cake means it can b use either wet or dry. To use it wet means it act as a liq foundation jus simply wet ur sponge. Then u use a dry sponge n use as a normal powder foundation tis way u will get a high coverage enuff to stay on for 8 hrs... 5)basic eyeshadows color: try to use min.2 shades of colours. darker color for ur eye lid then d lighter color (prf white, silver) or gliter for d area jus below ur eyebrow. Recom for foundation: Lancome photogenic (i think tis will suit best for cosplayers cos there will d lots of ppl taking photos of u n u dun wan to appear too fair in d photo than d normal) price shld b abv $70 if i not wrong for concealer: u can try Red Earth, they sell 3 colours of concealer green, yellow, pink or u can try loreal AirWear for lip: try d Lancome primordiale lip care. D best ever product for ur lips Oops sorry if its too long got carried away... hope it is useful |

thanks again for all those who contribute your advice. you guys are great! luel-san>> whoa, lucky! you can have free make-up consultation anytime, I'm envious! AngelZhou>> Angel-san, I don't know how to rephrase your post. Erm, can you check out the brand of the cosmetic first? Thank you. Everybody else>> I'm thinking. How about every week, we dig out a manga/anime/game/movie/jrock character and have a discussion about what kind of make-up is best for those cosplaying that character? Good idea or bad?

I also recommend Wet n Wild (eh...I think that's the brand name...can't remember exactly...whether it's "and" or "n" XP) eye shadow. Really lasting and the dark colours are really dark enough. Some eye shadows take like three or four applications (or more) in order for you to get a dark enough shade. XP If you want to look awake, apply light coloured eye shadow towards the inner corners of the eye. It would be better if you had a light colour eye liner. It just makes the eyes 'light up'. ^^ My friend loves to put shimmery light coloured eye shadow all over her eye lids. Looks nice if you don't put on too much. And if you are young enough. Too much glitter actually highlights wrinkles. XP Not something you want to do. When doing photoshoots, you can try putting shimmer powder or body glitter on your collarbones and upper arms (if you are wearing something sleeveless) as it looks nice. haha. If I learn anything new, I'll add on. =D |

I learnt about the shimmer thing from watching TV. haha. Cable. E! Entertainment. It's either Style Star or Fashion Police (with the wacky bald dude). Or maybe it was Beautification with Ruby and someone on channel 70 (discovery health and something or just discover something...XP).

I watch channel 54. XD The reflectiveness of the shimmer will basically make the part protrude and therefore cover the wrinkles, I think. Maybe you meant glitter as in those huge ones. =P If used inappropriately, it does draw unwanted attention.

Hrm. Maybe. But...if you have shimmer in your creases...and light falls on it...wouldn't it like highlight the lines more than the rest of your face since that's mainly where it is? Iono. haha. I think the best general guide to follow for make-up is that less is more. ^^ Except when you really need to go heavy for the look (mainly when cosplaying or for some photoshoots).

CONCEALER COLOR TIPS Mint Green: Used to neutralize red tones on the skin. Use this for covering blemishes, red blotches, rosacea, port-wine stains Yellow: Used to conceal bluish bruises, under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face Lavender: Used to normalize yellow-colored imperfections such as sallow complexions and yellow bruises. It can also help conceal very dark under-eye circles and dark spots on bronze skin tones. | |

I think you can either do foundation then concealer or concealer than foundation. Whichever you are more comfortable with. If you do the foundation before the concealer, it helps with the blending because you already have a base to work with. At least, that's what I heard. XP
