organizers cant really do much about it. staff either. because its not in their jurisdiction unless there's been an outrage of modesty or something along those lines.

how about taking pics even though the person refused...and when told to delete , the photog didnt delete

that's mostly between the person and the photog, the most the organizer can do, if they bother, is just ask the photog to not bother the person anymore but beyond that they can't do anything. In particular to an area like suntec, IF the photos are taken outside the event hall, the organizers have no authority, since its a public place and everyone can do what they want. You pretty much can't stop them from taking and/or not deleting the photos without threatening them in some way, and its not a good idea to do so. The most you can do is let others know about this fellow and what he's done that's offensive and try your best to avoid him/her.

I'm just a passerby who stumble upon this thread.
Don't mind me saying something about such issue.
And do note that I side no one.

First of all, the person who posted those photos in a public image hosting site probably only want to put in those caption for entertainment purposes with no malicious intend. The reason why I say she probably has no malicious intend is because if she really wants to defame or put anyone down, she'd have done so in a private blog instead of posting the pictures out in open.

However, she disregard the feelings of those in the photos of whom she had captioned with messages that she thought was harmless. Thus resulting in the displeasure of parties involved. In my own opinion, she needs to show more respects to people, even if they are strangers whom she come across in every day life.

As for forummers whom she had "captioned", you can only ask her to remove the photo or the caption. You can't slap her with a lawsuit for defamation, not unless ...
1) You lost your job because your employer saw the photo with the caption and he/she was influenced by the caption to think badly of you thus fired you from your job.
2) If you are a student, you got expelled by your school or received severe punishment which was caused by your school principle or teachers seeing the captioned photos.
3) You are already a public figure (as in celebrity, political figure etc) and you are certain that the captions in the photos affects your reputation in a negative way.

Which I think nobody was affected to that extend, except for maybe feeling great displeasure about being captioned in such disrespectful manner. Moreover, the poster is probably someone who is not acquainted with the cosplayers whom she photographed. But think of it this way, if the person who made those captions was someone close to you, you probably will laugh it off as a joke instead of feeling offended by it.

In another word, to those affected people :
I know it may be difficult to swallow this, but it's been months since the captions were up there, right? You haven't lost your birth rights yet. So, just let it rest, be a gracious person and move on. Nobody is perfect.

And to the person who made those captions :
Not everyone has the same sense of humor. You do take some nice pictures. But it would be nicer if the pictures come with some form respects for others. An apology won't take away your birthday.

in my impression, isn't she on the blacklist already? cosplayers run their own risk to take photos with her. i personally avoid her like the plague. i hate frogs.
