    Good Day to all. This is the Official Cultura 2009 Team.

    There seem to be some misunderstanding on early April 2009 regarding a comment made by DarkMimi on SG Forums.

    We would first like to apologise for the frustrations that the earlier the posting might have caused. This apology also goes out to the Singapore Polytechnic Japanese Culture Club and its compatriates.

    We would also like to make it clear that DarkMimi is not a part of the Cultura Team and does not represent the Student Exchange Club or the Cultura Team. DarkMimi had publicised the event on SGcafe forum without the knowledge and the approval of the organising committee.

    Apparently we have not, for the moment, collaborated with the Japanese Culture Club of Singapore Polytechnic regarding one of our events happening on the 29th April 2009.

    Japan Craze is an individual event, as to yet, and act as a promotional event for our main event called Cultura 2009. Its main objective is to boost ticket sales and it is themed to fit one of the four cultures Cultura 2009 is promoting, Japan.

    All plans of collaboration are still under discussion and we apologize for the misunderstanding this had caused.

    We thank you for your understanding and we hope you too join us in our aim of celebrating cultures; celebrating diversity!

    The Japanese Craze will be held on the 29th April 2009, Wednesday, outside Food court 5 in Singapore Polytechnic. There will be Japanese themed shops and a Cosplay event, including a band performance by Rusty Figures covering popular Japanese songs from X-Japan!

    If you are interested in opening a booth, cosplay or perform, feel free to email us at cultura2009@live.com.sg by the 24th April. We’re waiting for you! So come and join the Craze!

    Details of events:
    Venue: Singapore Polytechnic Food Court 5 Foyer (Near KFC, Subway etc.)

    Activities: Live Japanese band performances, Cosplay showcase, Japan Bazaar

    Why bother apologizing and making the whole thing sound like its an apology for the public when you've stated in these words that the apology is ONLY for SPJCC and its compatriates. Just send an email/privately correspond with them over this. If you want to apologise in public, which pretty much no one is expecting, then at least phrase it properly without being misleading.


    Btw, was just at FC 5 today. Outside there the area's horribly crampy for an event imo.
