| 爱澜澜 | Craftfoam guide What is craft foam? : They are flexible foam sheets, usually known as craft foam or fun foam , sponge paper or soft foam. Where can i get them? : They are available at most POPULAR and Big bookshop outlet. Instructions Basically follow the steps in the link i provided. The only differences is that i didnt cover my foam with a layer of cloth. Instead i used my own "coating mixture " to primer the surface of the foam to allow coloring since the foam will just absorb any paint that it is exposed to like sponge if not seal/coated. My own "coating mixture" consist of 1part Gesso and 1part PVA glue.You might ask wont gesso alone do the job? The answer is yes, but with the downside of your foam having a "cracked"texture when stretched or curved.By adding in PVA glue , it adds flexibility into the foam and will result in a brighter color when spray painted.

Paper clay and Paper marche together will allow you to virtually recreate any shape you want. The downside is that Paper marche is extremely tedious to prepare and it's hard to recreate a smooth surface using paper clay. In terms of material cost it's the cheapest as compared to plastic materials.
