Categories

Participants may choose to enter either one of these categories:

· The Animax Shana Best Cosplayer

o For the first time in Singapore, participants who sign up will be dressed as Shana from Shakugan No Shana in a complete set of ‘Shana’ costume specified and provided by the event organiser.

· The Animax Cosplay Open Category

o Participants can come in any anime or game character



Contest Date

Participants must show up at The Games Xpo at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall 404 on July 4, 2009..





Animax Shana Best Cosplayer Category



Registration

Registration for this contest will be made online.

There are no registration fees payable..

Participants may pre-register online via email to:

Animax Shana Best Cosplayer Contest at

- Name

- NRIC No.

- Age

- Handphone number

- Email address



Email registration closes at 1159pm on July 2, 2009.



Rules

- Participants of this category will be made over and dressed in a complete set of ‘Shana’ costume specified and provided by the event organiser.

- Contestants who do not wish to be made over and dressed in a complete set of ‘Shana’ costume specified and provided by the event organizer will not be eligible for the Animax Shan Best Cosplayer category but are invited to join the Open Cosplay Category of the contest. This includes contestants who wish to cosplay as ‘self-dressed’ Shanas.

- Participants are not permitted to use pyrotechnics or litter the stage.



Contestants are advised to wear light and ‘easy-change’ clothing to facilitate change of costumes.



Prize

The best Shana Cosplayer in the Animax Shana Cosplay Contest will stand the chance to receive SGD$1,000.



Contest Day

Judging will begin from 2.00pm at the stage area and the results of the contest will be announced at 6.00pm. Prize giving will be made on Stage at 6pm.



The Animax Open Cosplay Category



Registration

Registration for this category will be made at the Animax Cosplay Registration/Reception Counter at the TGX 09 show.

To enter this category of the contest, please register between 12 noon and 430pm on July 4, 2009

Each participant will have their photograph taken and the following particulars will be needed for registration:

- Name

- NRIC No.

- Age

- Handphone number

- Email address.



Rules

- Cosplayers from the anime or games genre are eligible to participate in this category.

- The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.



Prize

The prize winner for the Animax Open Cosplay Category will stand to receive SGD$500.

The results and prize giving of the contest will be announced and made on stage at 6pm

What are the details of this after registering for The Animax Open Cosplay Category? Like are the contestants to go on stage during The Games Xpo and do the contestants need to do a performance or anything? And can the participating cosplayers cosplay other characters from a manga besides anime/games? Plus, how will this competition be judged?

the contest is very easy,
When you sign up with us at the registration counter.
We will take your photo.
There is no need for performance.
The judges will make the decision base on your photo.

Hi. Thanks for the clarification. So there's no need to go on stage? =) lol

Is this event free admission?
Or we need register and pay entrance fee?

I'm in too for both the 4th and 5th of July for this event, and it'll be interesting to see the Cosplay musical show as well.
