Magic Castle Lite

Hey guys,

We have launched the lite version of Magic Castle at www.magic-castle.com.
In this lite version, you brew magical items and spells from base ingredients, which you then sell for profit!

You might notice the HP bar and the inactive "use" button by your inventory items. At a later date, you will be able to add other players as friends and interact with them. It's a social game for the manga community and beyond!

Remember, this is a beta release, so open to improvement and still in testing! Provide us with feedback please?

Firstly, love that your developing it :o)

A few points on the friends list (that you scroll along the bottom)... I have some friends added and noticed that #11 comes up as "11st" when it should be "11th" (it might be the same with #12 and #13 too (should be #12th and #13th), the english language is a pain like that... also (just in case you need to) #111 #112 and #113 should also all be 'th' too).

Also, my own profile showed on the list to add, and I actually managed to add myself as a friend... not sure that's meant to happen lol.

If possible, could there be a search function to find friends, rather then refreshing and hoping that the one your after comes up!

I know I sound ungrateful lol, but I really am not... thanks for the continued development!

Hey Stuart, thanks for your feedback. We've just fix the bug and we are experimenting a few ways to find friends including "search function", which will be released in future.

Does the experiment screen have it in for me lol A single click on brew does nothing any more - I have to rapidly click the button for a while before it registers (and it then spits out a warning that you have already experimented with this combination before, so it has buffered those 100 odd clicks I presume), and even then it SEEMS to only work on the extreme top of the brew button!

Am I doing something weird somehow?

hi there! we're looking into the problem.. it occured juz now, and now it doesnt.. i'm trying to replicate the problem and solve it.

do note that u cant try combi u have tried before

btw, what decor items would you buy? do u think the diff in price is reasonable?

thanks for looking into the problem. i can also confirm the behaviour isn't browser specific, it is happening on both firefox and internet explorer. another thing to note is that if I don't add two ingredients and just click brew it correctly displays the "must add 2 ingredients" message with no issues whatsoever.

as far as decorations go, i think they do offer a user targets to aim for, but i myself am more into buying practical things. i have 42 pots and no decorations purely as it brings experience and money. if the decorations were to offer different bonuses, i might buy them. for example, a red table might offer a 10% decrease in brew time for red healing spells... that sort of strategic element would certainly introduce a whole new level of enjoyment for me. i also mentioned pots on the other thread, maybe the more expensive ones could give an increase in money earned or more powerfull spells when used. saying that, i have just invested my cash on some more expensive pots... so perhaps the lure is working after all! lol

anyway, i appear to be rambling now, please forgive me lol

haha i visited your room and saw the japanese wallpaper and glow in the dark pots! haha will definitely look into bringing the strategic element in for you.
