Default Is Anime Worth Jailtime or 100 000 Dollars?

http://www.riuva.com/?p=628

Check this out. Perhaps, a definite answer to those of you who are still sceptical of Singapore's powers of surveillance.

Alternatively, there's Winny, Share and Nico Nico Douga

That doesn't going to stop me and my hobby here. And it definiatly helps that I understand my Japanese perfectly.

Watch as I present full run of

Lucy Star Ep 8

Nanoha Striker S Ep 9

Mai Oto Hime Zwei Ep 3

And what I'm more interested now is that Arts Vision case ATM.....

Anime doesn't worth jail time or that amount of money however if someone is willing to exchange 4 weeks of freedom for mutton curry, I think there's nothing you can do to deter a person who has cravings.

Note to self : Make sure D.U.I (Download under Influence) to get a lower sentence?

LOL, if they like that charge, you might as well go to jail Changi Prison here we come.

Maybe we will need to get Changi Prison 2 soon, since there might not be enough space to jail so many illegal downloaders since Changi Prison need to jail, lot of ppl liao. LOL

I personally think this topic deserves wider coverage. While I understand putting it in this forum's probably the most "specific"... not as many people check it out compared to say, the cosplay forum...

Be that as it may, that scares the living crap out of me. Anyone with eyes to see would realize Odex is flexing a little muscle. How this one goes down is going to shape the future... I wonder how it'll play out though

i'm just being very honest here if i really like a series alot id rather buy it than downloading it. If they refuse to let me download it and if i dont have alot of interest in it i wont even bother to buy it and watch.
If that happens i wont even get to watch the anime at all and maybe become a fan of it and buy its merchandises and posters. When i like a series i'll buy its posters and stuffs, sometimes going on to get its manga too and i guess its better than me not buying its cd and not being able to dl it thus not watching it at all.. and they dont get to earn any money, even from merchandises, mangas and stuffs..
Plus.. the animes in singapore come out really slowly, much slower than how fast i could watch. but hey, sometimes even if ive watched it online i'll still buy the cd, but tts if i really liked the series though.
So im just saying.. if they totally ban downloading then i guess i wont bother in watching those im not a HUGEEEE fan of anw, i'll just watch those im VERY interested in and will buy the cd. which is a minority, i mean if i never ever watch the first episode how will i get to become a big fan of it? For me to love it just by seeing a short tiny synopsis and a image of it is hard you know., So if they ban downloading i think they'll earn even less money as i wont even bother to watch and maybe love the anime, buy its cd, buy its mangas, buy its merchandises..

And then the message will be lost...in the cosplay forum. Generally Cosplayers active in the cosplayers section are more interested in Cosplay itself.

Anyway to add on...

Is there a need to spend so much time and resource to play the bogeyman???
If there's money in the boogeyman bin, maybe Odex should close shop and catch people permanently .

I just read the newspaper today the Home Section. There is an article on illegal downloading of anime P2. An anime fan was interviewed and he said that the quality of the odex was of poor quality but the chairman of odex countered by saying that when he played his DVD and a fansub anime on a 42 inch tv set to a "focus group" they could not differentiate them. Having said that... it means their DVDs are tv-rip is it?

Anyway as long as dun download licensed anime using bt in singapore should be fine. Their list is not that up to date anyway....

The focus group is a bunch of amateurs that never watch any fansub before sure cannot tell loh.
Ask the pro anime watcher I am sure you can tell liao, if not, one thing is for sure, ODEX dun have the karaoke effect on the opening song for it's anime same with ending song

Another things about anime that sells in the VCD shop is the censorship lol. I mean who wants to spend to buy censored anime?
I watch the Gundum Seed Destiny in Central, I mean they even crop off the opening of it where the anime show a shadow of a nake woman LOL, then that song sound like a broken player that skip it's sound track. Just shadow only also cannot, like that how to support the anime that they are selling????
