i'm sure there are terms and conditions regarding the screening of copyrighted material. am pretty sure there will be legislation involved if you want to set up a rental service.

on the other hand, maybe we can compile a list of people willing to share their anime and what anime they own. then if anyone wants to get their hands on something they can just PM the owner?

Eh, since Odex no Yaoi, must use fansubs. Then we can have more genre of anime

roarkiller>> the ideal would be to watch anime on demand, even if you dont own it and dont know anyone who owns it. so ya, a list might be a good idea.

or maybe someone can talk to manga cafe, see if they are willing to have an anime "rental" section if we're willing to donate.

Hm... interesting. An anime library was suggested years before but it did not take off.

It will be nice to be at the old days where anime clubs started screening and connect people before cosplay took the mainstage.

So, we are back to the old times.

And yes, please make sure cosplay don't kill anime screenings. We have to build resources.

Sounds like the anime fans clubs in the 1970's to 1980's.

Showing anime in a public area without authorization is by itself a copyright infringement, and a "public area" can be any place that isn't your own house. No manga cafe is going to do what you're suggesting unless they want trouble.
