Until now Indonesia government cannot really cracked down the pirated items seller ( the shop selling pirated items are really EVERYWHERE and seriously most people only buy pirated stuffs since the price is merely 2 bucks for high quality DVD ) I believe that cracking down internet user will be their LONGGGGGGGGG agenda. Plus looking at the number of hackers and huge online community, they might be bargaining more than what they prepare~

LOL

If they can't even crack the normal pirated VCDs, I'd like to see them bring a case about downloading the fansubs.

Plus very seldom Indonesian download from internet... Since majority household do not have 24 hours broadband internet. Majority still using those dial up ( uber slow ) pay-as-you-surf kinda thing~

Some more pirated DVD are easily available in SUPER affordable place. I dont see any reason why anyone would want to download unless it's SUPER RARE no-demand items.

Malaysia is a bullshit country. (No offense to Malaysian forumers here)

Rising extremism in religion (they tried asking mission schools to remove crosses but decided not to after getting blasted for it), racial divide getting worse and a government using strongarm methods to quell peaceful strikes and even more brutal measures like charging rioters for attempted murder? Pui.

Malaysian government right now are closeminded assholes. Their country's economy is f**ked up, crimes and corruption getting more daring and average income there isn't what I call very favorable and legitimate products like DVDs and Music CDs of American, Asian and Japanese releases there are downright ripoff.

They expect them to pay such a high fine for downloading something that they couldn't afford anyway or is banned because of their islamic laws no matter how much they tried? Ha.

Keep the religious comments down, yo. Some people are sensitive on that.

Malaysia isn't like Singapore. I mean, look at the size of their country. They need a LOT of good people to run the country well, and a lack of it is unfortunately undermining them. Not to mention that a large proportion of them are still living in kampungs, with their old TV being the most technologically advanced device they have.

That is because Malaysia is a bigger place and it is quite difficult to catch the downloader personally.

Plus the main featured issue in Malaysia is this Indians VS gahmen shit.

Sensitivity should be thrown out of the window when it finally makes people realise something is very wrong with the people ruling over them.

The shops are always there. You should be more worried about getting caught up in riots or robbed nowadays.
