This news is posted on Channel News Asia. There are two related articles: one is about the press release of the new channel, and the other is the confirmation that Odex was behind the scenes in bringing in those new "never-before-broadcasted-anywhere-else-outside-Japan" shows on Arts Central.

The line up for the channel called AnimeTrix (somebody call Warner Bros! Copyright infringement on the name!) can be seen over at this link: http://www.mobtv.sg/channel/animetrix.aspx

I'll just say this:

They're gonna have to do better then that.

WAY better then that.

Something along the lines of a company re-name and focusing on their business practice.

That is a start... but a start is a mere beginning. We have to be patient.

In the first place they should have done this to begin with, and yeah, its still drm protected anyway.

I'll stick to my bluray since I can afford them (barely)

I mean in Japan you can just record Anime of the TV without the ads (nowadays in HD no less) onto a HDD for free. Ok they pay TV tax there, but so do we. The only thing we have similiar is same week broadcast, but when it comes to variety? Singapore is nowhere near regular TV in Japan.

lol... Mobtv obviously in need of some funding and audiences in my opinion.
Who would wanna watch the anime that we had watched it and in better quality, with complete scenes unlike odex version?

They were like: WOW...~~~ WE succeed in getting airtime in Singapore!!! Time to recoup our losses...

My foot! Their anime vcds n dvds are on cheap sale evrywhere now...

Hey, i saw Odex junk at $6/box. I lol'ed at tt. I rather take tt money to go eat Macdonald or give to beggar also don wan buy _|_.

They already destroy their relationship between customer and odex. Besides that their quality sucks... Damn those censorship. I doubt ppl like us will support odex.

Only youngster that have no idea of torrents will go for their services so they (odex) will still earn somehow.
