Yuan where did you posted that picture???
Can provide link... i errr get "lost on the journey to life" easily.
Okay anyway, i'm attachin a picture which i am abit lazy to resize. You can download the pdf format from tokyopop.
Safe frame = blue box.
Finish frame/Trim or Crop frame = red box
Bleed frame = black box(usually has 1 cm or 0.5 gutter between finish and bleed).
Now here is the problem, you can either draw your frames out manually, which i naturally discourage cuz i had been there done that. 21 freakin pages of manually drawn frames. Okay thats beside the story.
If you draw it manually, the thing is, which i found of much to my horror and disgust is that, it is never exact, there will be damnable slantin lines and such.
Thus that leaves two options. One is to buy the paper itself, the other is to print a format which i can provide you but i'll say it will look damn odd and it's size may differ from standard manga paper issue due to resizin it problem.
Thus i shall rank the most viable option to the least viable option.
1:A4 Manga paper
2rinted format
3:Manual drawn frames
4on't care, do your own style.
Also please note that, there are so called gutters and inbetween frame gutters. Gutters are for either left or right, comes in your own sizes but i recommend using Safe frame for gutters. If you get books like naruto or some other comic which you can find but i prefer to use naruto cuz it's obvious. You will notice that he almost never has pictures that cuts into the spine of the book. If you still don't get me, i can get pictures for you.
For inbetween frame gutters, it's pretty much your own measurements too, some mangas like shoujou mangas don't use them as much as shounen. Vertical inbetween gutters are usually 3x or 2x thinner than the horizontal ones. Thus if you may, i suggest 1cm for horizontal ones.
I hope this information i have provided been valuable to you.
Alien: That was really helpful, thank you very much! And you forgot one category. Gal, gay, and the inbetweens. Go ahead, use your imaginations, everyone.
