it will definitely be cloud...A ff character mix game without the main character of the most popular FF ever is really a lousy decision.

anyways the release date for dissidia is out
December 18 2008 in japan
no news yet for N.A version, but it will be around 3-6 months after japan release, so for those getting N.A. version will have to wait till 2009.
thats why~we must go learn Japanese! LOL

imagine us getting ffxiii one year later than the japan counterpART BECAUSE WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR XBOX360 VERSION TO BE READY!

But Barret won't be appearing in the game, but as an unlockable character? Who knows? Well, this trailer mark the introduction of Kefka, (voiced by Shigeru Chiba) and he looks like the Joker, now but Dissidia Style, and finally, Sephiroth's in game appearance! In the subbed vid, he seems to be saying about calling someone a puppet, referring to Cloud.

Golbez and Exdeath can be seen on the left, beside Kefka and Garland, but is in the silhouette. On the heroes beginning part, I think I can see a girl standing beside the Onion Knight (Possibly Terra?) and a man standing beside Tidus, on the right side, possibly Cecil, in his Dark Knight appearance. I can't see Bartz, though, possibly he's standing in front. As for Cloud, I don't even know. Guess we will have to wait for the next update on which FF hero/heroine and villain will appear in the next magazine scan, this coming September, perhaps?

Haha, that would be cool, to have a Chocobo inside, but I don't think it will appear in this game, maybe an easter egg, perhaps?

Oh, by the way, my bad....about what I say in my previous post, Cecil is actually standing right beside the Warrior of Light, the figure is actually the same as I seen on his FF IV CGI pic in finalfantasy wikia, here is what I can speculated the arrangement of the heroes from the picture.

From the Left to Right: Terra?, Onion Knight, Tidus, Cloud? (standing in front) Firion (behind Cloud), Warrior of Light, Cecil? Zidane (Sitting), Bartz?, Squall.

For the villains ^ ^

From Left to Right: Emperor Palamecia, Cloud of Darkness, Golbez, Exdeath, Kefka, Garland, Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Kuja, Jecht

I mean, hell, he was Sin but he was good right? D= I mean he wasn't initially a villain.

They chose Jecht because he has more connection with Tidus.

& he is much cooler too.

Cecil's confirmed. You can either choose his Paladin or Dark Knight persona in battle. ;D

Cecil as Paladin

Like what Demothenes says, Cecil can switch either to his Paladin or his Dark Knight persona, in middle of the battle. His Paladin form had a staff as a weapon.

According to the info of the scan, it is said that Cecil's Paladin form has increased stats for quick aerial attacks and is a strong magic user while his Dark Knight form is more powerful in brute grounds as well as his strength.

For Golbez, he is also a powerful magic user and like, Kuja, is more powerful from long distance.

Judging from the screenshot of the gameplay, both Cecil and Golbez seem to be fighting on the surface of the Red Moon, or in other words, the "Crystal Palace?", the location of the Final Fantasy IV's climax.
