UPDATES:

Bartz & Exdeath of FF V, has been updated in the 'Characters' section of the official Dissidia website and a new vid is updated in the 'System' section, it focus on Summons, featuring Ifrit & Carbuncle.

The vid wasn't actually what you'd expected. The summon creatures just pop up as 2D images during gameplay, with no FMV animation (This might answer your problem on the Knights of Round, TsukiOkami but it's really disappointing that all summons had to appear like this ^ ^'').

Pressing the R trigger together with the circle button, will make them appeared. In the case of Ifrit, they appear as equipable items (as represented on the HUD). Judging by the way they're used in the vid, the summons primarily affect the Brave gauge - Carbuncle adjusts the enemy's Brave to match the player's, while boosts a player's Brave by 1.5.

UPDATES:

Terra Branford & Kefka Palazzo of FF VI is revealed, with Terra's Ex Mode, the Trance/Morph ability to her Esper Form, is officially confirmed, as seen in the in game screenshot. (Which we already know from the infos of TGS 2008 which held last month).

Kefka now looks more creepier in his Dissidia art and doing a gentlemanly like pose while Terra, still looks hawt. (Their positions in the pic is like they're looking at each other)

Kefka can be seen using magic, including a variation of Ultima.

Terra's Ex Burst seems to be her Riot Blade Desperation Attack.

It hasn't been confirm what area are they fighting at but speculated to be either Vector, the Imperial Capital of the Gestahlian Empire or Kefka's Tower.
