i play more of oldies rock like ACDC,GUN n Roses and also some punk rock like avil,boys and girls and etc actually i just want to make my bass sound nicer lar the tone

Hmmm i know Sansamp bass Di is good for shaping tone, or MXR bass DI, both got drive i think so if u need distorted sound also can add ^^

Old school can add abit of drive so its like playing tube amp ^^ i'm not sure also, but those 2 products are mostly rated easy to use and good ^^

as for your chorus, what it does is that it dupes your inputs and delayed the duped for a couple of thousandths of a second, giving your a "2 similar instruments playing the same thing" feel. if i'm not wrong, some chorus pedals even detunes the duped input alittle to being out the lead.

jojo>> depends on what kind of sound you want. generally, sharper sounds that give you the edge uses pick or fingernails, warmer tones are from your fingerstyle. of coz, both has it's pros and cons. i personally use more of fingerstyle, but i'll change to picking if my finger can't keep up. fingerstyle allows you to do plucking of multiple strings and allows you to switch from finger to slap pop more efficiently.

Agreed, Meow Meow is right, Check out Nathan East, very very good and experienced bassist, he's been around since like before some of u guys were born haha, check him out pls, guaranteed to be an inspiring experience for bassists of all levels ^^

Edmund is well-versed in this field ^^ but i think the best is go youtube and find vids, lotsa ppl testing out their equipment and posting it on youtube ^^
