You knew it will be announced one day and so it did. Google announced Nexus S, the next smartphone by Google, co-developed with Samsung.

The Nexus S has 16GB of built-in memory, runs on a 1GHz A8 (Hummingbird) processor and is loaded with the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform. Sporting a 4 inch screen and a sexy curvy design, the Nexus S uses Super AMOLED display technology (thanks to Samsung) and some of the coolest hardware specs around.

Availability is not official in Singapore yet but the smartphone will be sold unlocked and carrier-independent after 16 December, through Best Buy stores in the U.S. and after December 20 at Carphone Warehouse stores in the UK.
