Names such as AKB48 and even the producer Akimoto Yasuhi are probably common terms in the Japanese idol industry and if you have not been following the trend recently, the “48” trend is spreading around the globe. Not long ago, AKB48’s producer announced its first sister group “JKT48” (Jarkata 48). The branching out of Yasuhi’s idol franchise did not stop there, now there is a new group announced.

Calling it “TPE48”, the new group will hail from Taipei will remain the same concept as AKB48 and we can expect its debut in Summer 2012.
