BlackBerry DevCon Asia 2011 in Singapore began this morning with general keynote on whats in store and upcoming from Research In Motion (RIM). Along with the introduction of the various frameworks and technologies., the company has confirmed that the next-generation operating system to be named BlackBerry 10 instead of BBX.

The information has been backed up and confirmed by the official twitter of BlackBerryDev

Various sources have indicate that RIM has lost its trademark ruling over “BBX” to a software provider company, hence the name change of its next operating system (more information here)

The two-day event will be held in Suntec Convention Center in Singapore with various developer hands-on and introduction sessions for registered / paid attendees.
