“And so comes the end of an event that has spanned for about 4 years but has been engraved in our memories for the times to come.”

The short but informative Press Conference held by members of the Japanese Tsubasa Club today via Ustream has cleared up all questions and enquires about the continuation of the yearly event.

During our four years SOY has grown from a small event inside lecture theaters to a full-grown event with a proper event hall. However, it is sad to say that SOY has been discontinued. Thus, giving us the meaning of the “D” in this years supposed “SOY’D” as  SOY’Discontinued. We know this comes as a shock to you all however, JTC would like to thank to you for supporting them and allowing them to grow exponentially over the years. “Without the support of the community we would be nowhere. “as quoted by JTC.

A message from the Japanese Tsubasa Club,

“We have enjoyed organizing this event, but all good things must come to an end. It has been an honor and a privilege to have helped with the creation of this event and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this decision and that the community continues to prosper even without the presence of SOY. On behalf of the committee, we thank you all for supporting us all this time and wish you luck upon your future endeavors. We wish you all good luck for the future and we bid you farewell.”
