Nico Nico Channel to stream Black Rock Shooter TV anime worldwide with subs in eight languages. Singaporeans can catch the series with Simplified Chinese subtitles every Friday night at 10PM Singapore time (11PM Japan time) at http://ch.nicovideo.jp/channel/blackrockshooter starting from February 3.
The anime series is about two girls – Mato Kuroi (CV: Kana Hanazawa) and Yomi Takanashi (CV: Miyuki Sawashiro) – and their encounter with Black Rock Shooter, a supernatural being whose left eye emits a burning blue flame and is armed with a railgun that shoots rocks.
The TV series follows after the events in an OVA released in 2010 – which itself was based on a Hatsune Miku song and music video composed by Ryo and illustrated by Huke, both members of J-pop band Supercell. Huke is also the character designer for Steins;Gate.
Black Rock Shooter the TV anime series begins airing in Japan on February 2, during FujiTV’s NoitaminA time slot.
Although Nico Nico Channel will streaming the anime with subs in eight different languages, it appears that you can’t actually select the language you want. The language you get depends on the region you’re accessing the stream from:
English – USA, Canada
French – France, Belgium, Monaco, Switzerland, Andora
Italian – Italy
German – Germany
Spanish – Spain, Mexico, Chile, Argentina
Korea – South Korea
Traditional Chinese – Taiwan

Can someone write Niwango (the company behind Nico Nico Douga and Channel) and tell them that we mostly speak English here?
