Here’s a new trailer for Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena from Atlus, courtesy of Famitsu.com who’s been given exclusive rights to air it first, being the Japanese videogames media powerhouse they are and all.

This second trailer offers quick summaries of what each character in the game is fighting for, in a story set two months after the epilogue in Persona 4. Yu Narukami returns to visit his friends in Inaba, Yukiko makes a new friend through her new hobby (making bentos), Naoto Shirogane plays undercover cop, infiltrating into the Kirijo Group (from Persona 3), and Kuma tries his best to protect Labrys – a new character introduced in Arena – who’s been trapped in Midnight Channel.

Simultaneously, three characters from Persona 3 – Mitsuru Kirijo, Akihito Sanada, and Aigis – have entered the world of the Midnight Channel, and are searching for the truth in their own way.

The trailer also shows off snippets of various animated cutscenes from the game.

Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena comes out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Japan July 26. An English version, Persona 4 Arena, is due August 7 in the West.
