Light novel by Sou Sagara, Hentai Ouji to Warawanaineko (The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat) has been green-lit for an anime adaptation! The news was announced at MF Bunko’s 10th anniversary event Natsu no Gakuensai and the official Twitter account confirmed it on Sunday (29th July).

The story centers around a 2nd year high school boy named Yokodera Yoto. Yokodera is always thinking about his “carnal desires” but yet no one acknowledges him as a pervert. He then learns about a cat statue that supposedly grants wishes. He goes to pray to it that he will be able to express his “lustful thoughts”, whenever and wherever he wants.

But at the statue, Yokodera encounters a girl named Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, from the same high school as him with her own wish as well, that she would not display her “real intentions” so readily.

Sagara released the light novel series last year (2011) with illustrations by Kantoku, and Media Factory will be publishing the sixth volume next month. Okomeken provides the art for the manga adaptation that launched in Media Factory’s Monthly’s Comic Alive magazine last year, and the manga has two volumes so far.
