Also in this post: a Hatsune Miku cosplay of another kind. Hit the jump to find out what we mean.

On August 29 Sega and Sony Computer Entertainment held a “39 Festival at the End of Summer” event (夏の終わりの39祭り) at Yokohama Bay where virtual singer Hatsune Miku performed on a “water stage”.

PlayStation Japan has uploaded a digest video of that day’s performance on YouTube, in case you missed it or just want to relieve the days’ memories (the entire thing was livestreamed on Niconico Live):

Wait a minute… don’t we have something similar to that right here in Singapore’s Marina Bay? Sega, are you thinking what I’m thinking?

For those of you who missed the water stage performance but would like to check out the entire 1 hour and 30 minutes long Niconico Live broadcast for youself, well, that’s not really impossible.

Certain Niconico Douga users have took it upon themselves to archive the footage from the livestream, so if you really want to sit through the whole thing (the actual performance starts from part 2):

Outside of the performances, Yokohana Bay was also a hub for Hatsune Miku fandom on that day.

More pictures of the event can be found here.

One fan at the event cosplayed as Hatsune Miku as well, but not in the usual style that you’re probably used to:
