Update: now with a cleaner, official image of the pre-order bonus, the “tokusei lovers’ strap” (特製ラバーストラップ).
It”s official, fellow Miku fans! Mark that date down on your calendar now! 7 March 2013 is when Hatsune Miku Project Diva F will be released for the PlayStation 3 in Japan.
Gamers who pre-order the title from participating stores in Japan will receive a specially made “lover’s strap” (特製ラバーストラップ). We’re not sure what exactly that might be at the moment, but I’m hoping it has something to do with wowaka’s hit song Ura-Omote Lovers. Edit: D’oh, you can clearly see the design of the aforementioned strap in the image above (or the official sample image of the strap below).
Pictorial proof of the information comes courtesy of Japanese twitter user rint0927, who works at a game store in Kyushu.
According to his tweet, rint0927 or “RINT” (his Twitter handle) stumbled upon the curious article you see pictured in the image above at an industry event for game retailers (distributors typically hold such events where they brief retail store on upcoming video game products).
“Although this over here is just displayed casually in a corner to folks in the business, it looks like the information is not out there yet, huh?” He tweeted in Japanese.
One tweet earlier, RINT also expresses a thought that I’m sure many Hatsune Miku fans must be thinking right now: “March the 7th… isn’t that… two days away from March 9?”
Why, yes, yes it is.
Blame it on the Japanese video games industry, where pretty much every single game must come out on a Thursday (which March 7 is), as if by decree of the Emperor. Only certain games like Pokemon and Dragon Quest are ever released on a weekend in Japan (which March 9 is).
