BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma – Arc System Works commemorates Izayoi’s release tomorrow with this new trailer
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma boss character Izayoi (Tsubaki Yayoi) finally makes her playable debut in Japanese arcades tomorrow. To build some hype for this third and final (for now, anyway) time-release character, Arc System Works has released a new trailer on the Net today, similar to what they did two weeks ago with a trailer that focused on the two time-release characters who preceded Izayoi: Nu-13 and Mu-12.
Even if you don’t care about BBCP, Arc System Works’ third full instalment in the BlazBlue 2D fighting game franchise, the trailer itself is quite the audio treat. Voice actress Imai Asami’s (Steins;Gate’s Kurisu Makise, The [email protected]’s Chihaya Kisaragi) performance is captivating as usual, and at the start of the trailer we get a taste of the new title’s remixed musical scores.
Said to be in an “awakened” mode, Izayoi (Tsubaki Yayoi)’s main fighting tactics revolve around smart use of her Rei-shiki meter. Charging up her Rei-shiki meter will allow Izayoi to mode change into a souped-up “Gain Art Mode”, which grants several benefits such as faster air-dash manoeuvrability, and powered-up versions of all her special moves.
More details on Izayoi (Tsubaki Yayoi)’s character profile and story in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, as well as those of Nu-13 and Mu-12, can be found at our previous story here.
A PlayStation 3 port of the arcade fighter is slated to come out sometime in 2013.
