Can’t get enough of Kenjiro Hata’s gag comedy anime series Hayate the Combat Butler (also known as Hayate no Gotoku or ハヤテのごとく!)? Especially now that Hayate no Gotoku: Can’t Take My Eyes Off You has just finished its run on Japanese TV this past week?

Then you’ll be glad to know that the series’ producers are planning a brand new season of the show to air as early as Spring 2013, according to a magazine page photographed by Manga News Japon. The new TV anime series will begin airing on TV Tokyo next Spring.

It is unclear at the moment if this new series will be a continuation of the first two instalments of the Hayate no Gotoku TV anime shows, the events in which largely follow that of Hata’s manga series, or a follow-up to the recent Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, where the story is an original one – penned in part by Hata himself – based on ideas that never made it into the manga.

The art style in Can’t Take My Eyes Off You was also quite a tad bit different from the first two anime series. Perhaps the illustrations accompanying the new Hayate no Gotoku anime announcement are meant as a hint for discerning fans to spot?
