Fairy Tail to ending announcement

Are you the type who quits watching a long-running anime series? If you stopped watching Fairy Tail a long time ago, then this is the perfect time to pick up where you left off. Kodansha’s TV Magazine has announced that the anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s shounen fantasy-adventure manga will end on March 30 in Japan.

The anime series, which started in October 2009, will end on the 175th episode entitled “Sono Toki Mita Shoujo no Kao wa” (The Face of the Girl I Saw). Starting on April 6, Fairy Tail will be replaced with the anime Driland.

Fairy Tail to end on March

Along with the magazine’s announcement is a tweet from the original creator himself. Interestingly, considering that the anime is about to end, Mashima says that he’s going to bring the good news. However, this is not yet the right time for the announcement so we’ll just have to wait.

The anime series’ story opens with Lucy Heartfilia, a teenage girl who runs away from home to become part of Fairy Tail, an infamous mage guild. She meets Natsu Dragneel and his partner Happy. With Natsu’s help, Lucy becomes part of the Fairy Tail guild. They soon take on missions together with two other wizards Gray Fullbuster and Erza Scarlet.
