If you’re a fan of Cthulhu, or mayhem involving aliens disguised as cute girls, you’ll want to see this trailer for the upcoming game adaptation of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san.
The comedy anime Haiyore! Nyaruko-san has a rather strange premise. The protagonist is a normal boy named Mahiro who meets a girl named Nyaruko who is actually a goddess. That sounds like a cliche, except Nyaruko is a deity from the Cthulhu Mythos created by the author H. P. Lovecraft, and she is determined to be Mahiro’s bride. The story only gets crazier from there…
The PS Vita game adaptation has the amazing title: “Haiyore! Nyaruko-san: The Hard-to-Explain Game-ish Thing”. The thing is a visual novel featuring all of the characters from the first season of the anime and brand new plots that are bound to be wacky.
In this newly revealed 90-second trailer, Nyaruko and Kuuko give a brief description of the game and the limited edition package in their most most excited voices, accompanied by a remixed version of the anime’s catchy opening theme.
The limited edition “Dazzling Trapezohedron Box” mentioned in the trailer includes an original soundtrack CD and a Nightgon bottle case (yes, it’s the black, skinny thing in the picture; you can calm down now).
The game will be released on May 30, but you don’t have to wait until then to get a dose of Cthulhu madness, because the second season of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san is airing in Japan right now.
