Up coming slice of life anime Kin-iro Mosaic recently announced its’ on-air schedule for the upcoming season. The television anime series will begin airing on July 6, over the anime specialty channel AT-X. It will then be available on terrestrial television stations Tokyo MX, Sun-TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, TV Tokyo and BS11.
Kin-iro Mosaic is a four panel manga written and illustrated by Yui Hara and is serialized in Hobunsha’s monthly magazine Manga Time Kirara MAX. Shinobu Oomiya (大宮 忍), a first year high school student who plays host to her friend Alice Cartalet (アリス・カータレット) whom she stayed with during her home stay in England while she was in middle school. The manga series revolves around the daily lives of Shinobu and Alice together with Shinobu’s classmates Aya Komichi (小路 綾) and Yoko Inokuma (猪熊 陽子) as well as Alice’s childhood friend Karen Kujo (九条 カレン).
The television anime series will be directed by Tenshou (天衝) with Yuniko Ayana (綾奈 ゆにこ) as series coordinator. Character designs are by Kazuyuki Ueda (植田和幸) while the music is by Ruka Kawada (川田 瑠夏). Animation production will be by Studio Gokumi who had previously worked on A Channel and Saki: Achiga-hen.
Kin-iro Mosaic will feature the voice talents of Asuka Nishi (西 明日香) who played Hakata Kanamori in Ebiten: Kouritsu Ebisugawa Koukou Tenmonbu, Manami Tanaka (田中 真奈美) who will be playing her first major role as Alice, Risa Taneda (種田 梨沙) who played Asami Oikawa in Suki-tte Ii na yo, Yumi Uchiyama (内山 夕実) who played Momiji in Binbou-gami ga, Nao Touyama (東山 奈央) who played Chiho Sasaki in Hataraku Maou-sama, Yukari Tamura (田村 ゆかり) who played Tenten in Naruto, and Satomi Satou (佐藤 聡美) who played Ritsu Tainaka in K-On!
