Capcom holds summer event in Odaiba; Holds exhibitions for Lost Planet 3, Monster Hunter 4 and Ace Attorney 5
Video Game giant Capcom is currently holding a “New Experience Summer Meeting”. The event lasts from June 1 – 2 and held in Tokyo Aqua City in Odaiba. The event featured a demonstration and exhibition of their much anticipated upcoming games; Monster Hunter 4 and Ace Attorney 5 for the Nintendo 3DS and Lost Planet 3 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms.
Upcoming 3DS game Monster Hunter 4 is widely anticipated around the world. The game’s director, Mr. Fujioka Kanama and the producer, Mr. Ryozo Tsujimoto took to the stage to explain some of the new things from the game.
They presented the latest promotion video during the event. The video presented new monsters like the Goa Magara as well as what to expect in the newest game in the series.
They also previewed the new weapon known as the charge Axe. According to Director Fujioka, the Charge Axe is a powerful weapon capable of dealing massive amounts of damage after it has accumulated a lot of energy.
Monster Hunter 4 is slated for release September 14 in Japan. No release date has been announced for other territories.
Another one of Capcom’s most highly anticipated games is Ace Attorney 5. The Video game’s producer, Motohide Eshiro as well as director Yamazaki Takeshi took to the stage as well. They discussed several elements in the game such as “Heart Scope” and “Runaway Emotion”.
They also presented the Ace Attorney 5 Limited Edition for those avid fans. The limited edition comes with decorative stickers, a small bag and a Phoenix Wright figure!
Actor Kanesaki Kentaro then appeared in front of the audience as a special guest. He plays Phoenix Wright in the live-action adaptation. The stage performances for the theater version are held in Shinagawa Meeting Hall from July 31 until August 4.
Ace Attorney is set for release July 25, 2013 in Japan and Fall 2013 for the rest of the world. Ace Attorney 5 is available for the Nintendo 3DS.
An upcoming game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is Lost Planet 3. Like the other two games, the video game’s producer, Andrew Szymanski went onstage and presented the game. He introduced several attractions as well as the story line gamers are to expect from the game.
He also introduces the game’s hero, Jim Peyton, a rig pilot who leaves Earth for the game’s setting, the Hazardous and cold planet called E.D.N. III. Also presented are the hazards of the planet like the terrain as well as the dangerous Akrids, the indigenous species of the planet. Lost Planet is a 3rd-Person shooter and is set for release August 2013 in all territories.
Besides the Video Game presentations, Capcom also presented other great attractions like merchandise, a Monster Hunter 4 multiplayer demo, several Monster Hunter 4 displays and a life-size Phoenix Wright figure!
