As the final volume of ‘Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga nai‘ was just released yesterday, June 7, Amazon.co.jp has announced that the final volume, volume 12 is now currently ‘out of stock’. The only ones available at the moment are several second hand volume 12 books readers are selling in Amazon. This comes to no surprise as the final volume is widely anticipated by fans from across the globe.
The last volume however had mixed reviews on Amazon with some disappointed with the ending while some loved it. It seems that those who were disappointed did not agree with Kyousuke’s final choice with some questioning if that was really the “true end” while others just described it simply as “crappy”. But even with that type of reaction from the readers, the fact of the matter still remained; the book went ‘out of stock’ in Amazon, and that is saying a lot as it speaks on how popular the series really is. Those who loved the final chapter described it as “heart rending” but a good story none the less. The book had an average score of 3 out of 5 stars with more than a hundred reviews.
While the main story has just ended, the upcoming video game based on the light novel, ‘Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga nai Happy End‘, has recently released its second video preview. The game which turns your little sister (and your friends) into idols is slated for release September 26 in Japan.
The visual novel game, ‘Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga nai Happy End‘ will be available for the PlayStation 3 platform and is produced by Bandai Namco Games. It is based on the light novels written by Tsukasa Fushimi, illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki and published by Dengeki Bunko. The first PV video can be viewed here.
Even with the end of the original light novel series, the series still continues to be popular. The anime adaptation’s second season is currently airing and two successful PSP games have already been released.
