Free-to-play MMO game ‘World of Tanks’ is coming to Xbox 360. Leading free-to-play developer wargaming.net announces their console debut with the Xbox 360 edition of World of tanks at this year’s E3.
The game will be published by Microsoft and will be developed by Wargaming West (formerly Day 1 Studios). Even if the game is venturing into the unexplored territory of console gaming, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 ed. will still have the game’s greatest strong point; it will remain Free-to-play. The game will be available for digital download for both GOLD and SILVER Xbox Live! gamers.
The Xbox 360 edition will have revamped controls, matchmaking, a new user interface and other features to take advantage of the Xbox 360’s technological capabilities and online features. It will also feature in-game purchases for premium tanks, consumables and premium accounts. They also announced that during the Open Beta phase of the Xbox 360 edition, the game will contain American and German tanks and will add more countries, tanks and other content from the launch date and moving on into the future.
In a statement by wargaimg.net CEO Victor Kislyi, he said that “Wargaming has always been dedicated to finding new ways to bring our games to new players and platforms. Our partnership with Microsoft and our move to the hugely successful Xbox 360 will give millions of gamers around the world the opportunity to experience what has made World of Tanks such a global phenomenon.”
Wargaming is also accepting beta applications. The applications can be sent here.
