Currently on the Net some anime news sites have reported that The [email protected] Movie was announced today to be set for a Spring 2014 release. This is likely to be an error – the Japanese term used for today’s announcement was “2014初春”.
初春 is an extremely confusing term that literally means “the beginning of Spring”, but is more commonly used to refer to January – the first month of the Western calendar (which used to be, you know, the beginning of Spring under the Gregorian calendar a long time ago).

Back in 2012, when a TV anime adaptation of Love Live was announced, it was said to be slated for 2013初春. Love Live began airing on Japanese TV stations in January 2013.
Other than the release month for The [email protected] Movie, at the concert Sakagami (or Gami-P) also announced that all 26 episodes of the [email protected] TV anime series will be rebroadcast in a marathon showing on Japanese TV channels Tokyo MX and BS11 in October.
