Japanese actor and singer Koki Tanaka has admitted via his twitter account that he is an otaku and is proud to be one. He tweeted that he truly loves watching anime and geeky movies, playing video games as well as reading manga and light novels as he admitted to the world:”I am an otaku”.
He admitted that he is a fan of Attack on Titan and Danganronpa as well as being a huge NisiOisin fan, especially his highly acclaimed Monogatari series. He also listed his favorite mangas like I am a Hero, Blue Exorcist, Black Butler and Terra Formars. He also likes shoujo mangas which are aimed towards girls like NANA and Boys Over Flowers.
He also tweeted that he is looking forward to meeting his fans in the next Comiket (or Comic Market).
The former KAT-TUN member then showed off his various cosplays like One Piece’s Portgas D. Ace and Trafalgar Law as well as Attack on Titan’s Levi.
Koki Tanaka is a former member of the J-pop group KAT-TUN and is now performing as a solo artiste. He appeared in various J-Dramas like Hissatsu Shigotonin and Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and has won several awards for his performance in the J-Drama My Boss My Hero.
He is also known for sewing his own apparel so those costumes he wore may have been made by himself.
His fans were delighted to see his cosplays and he will surely garner a new set of fans even after his KAT-TUN heydays now that he has admitted to being an otaku.
