An image of Japanese actress Tao Tsuchiya in costume while filming the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin live action sequels has just surfaced and it features her as the hyperactive and lovable kunoichi (female ninja) Misao Makimachi.

The 18-year-old actress appeared in various dramas like the live action adaptation of Ouran High Host Club and movies like Tokyo Sonata and Ultraman the movie.

She has engaged in classical ballet and Japanese dance since she was a child so acting as a nimble kunoichi like Misao won’t be much of a problem. The actress has said that Misao’s playful character is really close to her own.

The new image of the actress surfaces exactly a week after photos of Yuusuke Iseya, Min Tanaka and Ryunosuke Kamiki in costume as Aoshi Shinomori, old man Okina and Seta Soujirou respectively.

She will appear alongside Takeru Satoh (Kenshin Himura/Battousai), Emi Takei (Kaoru Kamiya) and Tatsuya Fujiwara who will be playing the main villain Makoto Shishio.

The other cast members will include 12-year old Kaito Ooyagi (Yahiko Myoujin), Maryjun Takahashi (Yumi Komagata), and Ryousuke Miura (Chou Sawagejou/ Chou the Sword Hunter).

She will appear in both sequels, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen or Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire and Rurouni Kenshin: Densetsu no Saigo-hen or Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend, which will be shown simultaneously in 2014. Both films will cover the manga’s Kyoto Arc or the Shishio Arc.’
