Update: We have been notified that the January 16 opening of Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions! Rikka Version in Singapore has been cancelled.

At the moment there is no word on if the movie will premiere in Singapore at a later date or not, but we’ll keep you posted if we hear a new date.

Cathay Cineplexes is currently contacting all customers who have purchased advance tickets to the movie, to offer them a refund plus a complimentary ticket to watch any other movie screening in any Cathay theatre.

Earlier this month, Chuunibyou was also in the news when the first episode of Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren (Season 2) was leaked on a Chinese website before its TV premiere in Japan.

Original story: Anime film Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions Rikka Version is coming to Singapore! The film is opening in Cathay Cineplexes on January 16, 2014.

It’s an abridged retelling of season one of the anime, with brand new scenes, told from the heroine Rikka Takanashi’s perspective.
