The anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda‘s beloved Shounen Jump! manga, One Piece is still going strong 15 years after the very first episode first aired in 1999 and now, to celebrate this milestone, Scrap and Zepp Tours will be organizing a Real Escape Game in honor of the series.
Dubbed “Escape From the Undersea Prison Impel Down” (海底監獄インペルダウンからの脱出), this real escape game will begin on Zepp Tokyo on July 18-20, 2014 before hitting the road in several Japanese cities like Sapporo, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
The real escape game will be hitting Zepp Sapporo from July 25-27, 2014, Zepp Nagoya from August 1-5 and September 12-14, Zepp Namba from August 8-12 and 26-26, Zepp Fukuoka from August 15-20 and Zepp Diver City Tokyo from August 22-24, 29-31 and September 19-21. Tickets for the games cost between 3,100 yen and 3,600 yen.
Participants will become pirates and must escape a large prison on the ocean floor along with Monkey D. Luffy in order to save Ace from a public execution. They must solve puzzles and use certain items in order to open doors which will allow them to escape. They must do all this in a cramped space with a very short time limit however so this challenge is not only physical but extremely mental as well.
