Ultraman can now be seen fighting for the fate of the planet over at Takashimaya Shinjuku in Tokyo where he can be seen battling one of his classic Kaiju enemies, Aboras inside a reproduction of the Tokyo National Olympic Stadium.
This is all part of an exhibition dedicated to the “Master of Monsters”, Eiji Tsuburaya, the man who credited for creating Ultraman and co-created Godzilla. The exhibit was opened to the public yesterday, April 2, 2014 and it will be open until April 14, 2014. Japanese actor Shiro Sano and model Yuka Nanjo were present during the opening ceremony along with Ultraman and UltraSeven to celebrate the legendary special effects director.
The Kaiju, Kanegon, was also present as it and UltraSeven were presented with their own solid gold statues.
Various Ultraman kaiju were also exhibit, all of which caused the classic tokusatsu hero, as well as the planet Earth, a whole lot of trouble.
However, the exhibition’s main piece is the Tokyo National Olympic Stadium clash beetween Ultraman and Aboras which featured a “behind-the-scenes” look at how that epic battle took place.
When in Shinjuku, you can visit the exhibit for a limited time until April 14, 2014 at Takeshimiya Shinjuku.]
