Voice actresses Mai Fuchigami and Maya Yoshioka take you through the new Girls und Panzer game while cosplaying [videos]
Girls und Panzer voice actresses Mai Fuchigami and Maya Yoshioka recently sat down with Japanese website Dengeki Online to discuss the series’ new upcoming PS Vita game, Girls und Panzer: Master, Senshadou! and both came in cosplay and showed off their Oarai pride.
Maya Yoshioka, who voices the Duck Team’s Taeko Kondo and Anzio Academy tank commander Anchovy (right hand side), and Mai Fuchigami, who voices main character Miho Nishizumi (left hand side), came in wearing Oarai Girls’ High School’s blue tank uniforms which the Oarai Senshado team usually wears when heading out into battle in their respective tanks. Now, Panzer Vor!
First up is Maya Yoshioka who really enjoyed playing the game. She said that she enjoyed aiming and shooting her tank while also moving and felt a lot of excitement whenever she faced off with an enemy. She revealed in the short interview that she also likes playing fighting games as well as action games.
She also revealed that she is quite fond of her other GaruPan character, Anchovy and said that she is excited to see Italy’s powerful P-40 Heavy tank in action against her other character, Taeko Kondo and the rest of Team Oarai in the upcoming OVA which will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on July 25, 2014.
We then have Mai Fuchigami who has proven to be very popular not only among seiyu otaku (otakus who are more fond of voice actresses), but also military otaku for her roles as Girls und Panzer’s Miho Nishizumi as well as Arpeggio of Blue Steel’s Iona.
Mai Fuchigami talked about her experience while playing the game. She said that when the game was still in development, she was able to try it out but no actual enemies appeared. However, as the game was developed, she said she saw the improvements. She also talked about the game’s story mode as she said that she felt nostalgic while seeing the cut scenes.
The two voice actresses then sounded off and told everybody then had a good time and enjoyed playing the game.
