The new Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign– is making fighting game fans from all over the world very excited, and this week’s issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine is giving us new details on the game’s newest character, Elfelt, who is a console exclusive fighter.

Voiced by Aya Suzaki who is best known for voicing Kill la Kill’s Mako, Elfelt can keep opponents at a distance as she uses a rifle and a shot gun. According to Famitsu, her aim can also be adjusted and even has an FPS-type play-style which is quite unique for a fighting game character. Will her play style be somewhat like Noel Vermillion from Blazblue? I guess we will find out when the game is finally released.

Famitsu also revealed that the game’s first console-exclusive character, Sin Kiske can be unlocked by just playing the game, however, for players who just can’t wait to use him, they can purchase the unlock code via the PlayStation Network.

Elfelt, who is the second console-exclusive character, will be available as a DLC, though those who have pre-ordered or purchased the game early will be able to get her for free. She can be purchased for 800 yen if you missed the pre-orders.

The game is scheduled for release in Japan on December 4, 2014 in Japan, and will also be released for North America some time this year.for both the PS3 and the PS4. The PS4’s limited edition version will be bundled with a unique Fighter’s Pad.
