MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2 was one of this year’s most hyped online games, and just like Gurren Lagann and Danganronpa, it is also headed to the stage with a live action play titled Phantasy Star Online 2-ON STAGE-.


The stage play’s official website has now released official photos of the cast in costume, which features some well know voice actors in the lead roles.


Voice actors Shouta Aoi, best known for voicing UtaPri’s Ai Mikaze, and Emi Nitta, best known for voicing Love Live!’s Honoka and Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere’s Malga are cast in the lead roles of Takuya and Yumi respectively. Hello Project idol Kasumi Koharu meanwhile plays the mysterious Mira.

Other well known voice actors are also part of the cast, with veteran voice actor Kazuhiko Inoue (best known for voicing Kakashi from Naruto and Nyanko-sensei from Natsume’s Book of Friends) cast as Ichinose, Hiroki Takahasi (Hetalia’s Japan and Prince of Tennis’s Eiji Kukumaru) cast as Tanaka, Katsuyuki Konishi (Beelzubub’s Tatsumi Oga and Fairy Tail’s Laxus) cast as Akira, and Kikuko Inoue (Ah My Goddess’s Belldandy and Air’s Uraha).

Seiyu fans (voice actor fans) would have a field day with the four voice actors mentioned above alone. The play also stars:

Mika Kikuchi (XXXHoLic’s Mokana) as R

Voice actors Atsuko Enomoto (Steel Angel Kurumi’s Kurumi and PreCure’s Cure Egret) and Ichitarou Ai (Hunter X Hunter 2011’s Beans) will meanwhile play Nicosei PSO2 Broadcasting Station members.

The play will be shown from December 4 to 7, 2014 over at the Aoyama Theater. It is being supervised by PSO2 producer Satoshi Sakai and PSO2 director Yuya Kimura.
