The anime adaptation was announced by Dengeki Online, and more details will be announced during the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2015 this October 4. The Netoge no Yome wa Onna no Ko ja nai to Omotta? light novel is written by Shiba Kineko and illustrated by Hisasi. It is published by Dengeko Bunko and was launched back in 2013.
The light novels follow Hideki Nishimura, an online gamer who falls in love with someone he thought was a girl (actually a boy).
